Credit card minimum payment can be calculated by using the credit card minimum payment calculators. This type of calculator helps to determine the time you require to pay off credit cards if you make the minimum payments. To utilize this tool you require the present balance, payment percentage and interest rate for all credit cards that you have. In the credit card minimum payment calculator, you must enter your credit card information to see your payoff details. This calculator shows your present balance on your credit card. Credit card minimum payment calculators also inform you how many payments you must make before you pay off your balance.

The card company will inform you somewhat like “your minimum payment is $10 or 2%, whichever is higher.” You can calculate your credit card minimum payment as a percentage of your present balance. As your balance is paid, the minimum payment drops. But, due to the magic of compounding, an individual will finally wind up paying for a long time. For credit cards, the rate entered calculates the interest on future credit card payments. The calculation of your monthly payment is done as a percentage of your present outstanding balance entered. Hence, through a credit card minimum payment calculator, you can calculate your credit card minimum payment easily.

Using credit card insurance is a very important aspect for anyone that has access to credit facilities; this is regardless whether your credit is bad or good. However what is the cost of life insurance if you have a bad debt credit card. Does it affect it or not. To actually discover whether or not you are affected by bad credit when attempting to secure life insurance you must first obtain Insurance Quotes from reputable life insurance firms. These firms will require your social security number at some time during the process at a later date and this will determine if they might increase or decrease you monthly payment. Despite many instances of recommending people with bad credit to life insurance firms I have never noted someone being denied because of bad credit

However if you do have bad credit it is in your best interest to seek to lower your insurance rates as this will eventually affect your credit score and credit history in the long run. The methodology of actually calculating life insurance rates is based on mortality and interest. The only hidden cost that is factored into the cost is that to administer the life policy which falls under operating expenses and apportioned to the policy premium. We have defined the following: Mortality This is life insurance is calculated on sharing the risk of death with a certain number of people – hence using a mortality table based on age group and classification (i.e. smokers will determine the premium cost). Interest Earned By The Insurance Company – This is the net value of interest income earned by the insurance company when they invest the premium that you pay. If this income is fixed then you will have a lower premium, the more risky the venture the higher your premium should go.

Two terms constantly confuse insured’s. The first is Term Life – This means the life insurance policy has no redeemable cash value and lasts for a specific period of time and pays the face value of the policy. So if you have a term life policy you won’t get any cash back if you cancel the policy but your family will get the face amount if you die.

A Whole life policy is one that provides a basic death benefit yet can provide a cash value if you decide to cancel the policy before you die. This amount can even be used for security when borrowing a personal loan.

When you have a credit card you should either seek credit insurance or life insurance of some kind. Only some credit card companies offer credit insurance with there cards and research shows that less than 10% of card issuing companies that offer credit to people with a credit score below 400 don’t have credit insurance. This is a vital issue for you to consider. Even in automobile Insurance is credit and credit score fundamental – Our new customers report average savings of $200 on car insurance! Click here!
We are providing this web log to just clear up that matter urgently. There are really several ways to make an Aspen credit card payment; online or via post or what is known as Snail Mail. Clearly to pay on the web or online you must possess a debit card or another credit card to make the payment. To pay online you will be required to have another credit card. If you don’t want to do that and want a standing order arrangement that is also possible. You can have your monthly minimum payments deducted from your savings and/or checking account at your bank through direct deposit. This can be done by downloading this Payment Form completing it and sending it along with a voided blank check by mail to

Aspen Cardholder Services

Automatic Payment Plan Department

P.O. Box 105555

Atlanta GA 30348-5555

On the form you can actually select three options, whether to pay a fixed amount, just the minimum payment or to pay up the full balance on the card. You can also make your aspen credit card payments via telephone; though there is a small fee attached to this and payments in this manner can only be made using a checking account so you should have your checking bank account number and your banks routing number to speak to the customer service agent. Depending on where you applied for the card some merchants will be able to offer payment and make these for you. Unfortunately some of these merchants might charge you a fee as well.

Payments on your card is also available through Western Union®. NOTABLY that does not apply to some state; these are Colorado, Kansas, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas, Maine and Connecticut. You just need to call Western Union Payments at 800-325-6000 and use your Visa Card or Discover credit card and make a payment. This type of payment however will take up to 48 hours to be posted to your account so you should bear this in mind if your minimum payment is due.

A paper check can be sent using FedEx, DHL or UPS. Just enclose your check payment (with your Aspen Credit Card Number on the back of the check) to

This post is to teach everyone how to calculate their minimum payment that they get on their credit card statement. All credit card issuers and banks must by law use the same precedent to calculate the payment. If you have several credit cards it is advisable to check the minimum payment on each, however if you don’t have the time you can carry out random checks on each card statement to ensure that you are not being over billed or cheated. In most instances the minimum payment will be approximately 1.8% to 4.1% of the outstanding balance on any credit card. The key is not what you pay monthly but how much of that payment goes to interest and how much goes to principal. To illustrate the calculation of a minimum payment on a credit card statement let us use some standard figures for say a Bank of America Credit Card You must note and write down these figures:

Current Outstanding Balance (OB)

Your Interest Rate (APR)

Minimum Payment Calculation (MPC)

Minimum Payment Amount (MPA)

For this example we said the OB = USD$2,000, the APR = 12% and the MPC = 2%

The formula is OB x MPC = MPA * 2,000 x 2% = $40.00

If your MPA is $40, this is not really a lot for an outstanding debt; however you must calculate how much goes to principal. The formula for this is APR/12 (being 12 months in a year) x OB. This will determine exactly how much of your minimum payment will be going to your principal owed. Let’s illustrate this – 12% / 12 months x 2,000 = 20.00. This means that $20.00 of the $40.00 you pay will be going towards interest that an effective rate of 50%. Astounding figures if we look on it in detail. If a credit card holder continues this then it will take years to repay the credit card debt and lead to excessive payments. This is why it is key to pay more than the minimum payment on any credit card debt. What many people don’t actually keep a breast of are bank fees. Below is a list of fees that are usually added to a credit cards minimum payment that inflate the MPA and result in less of your disposable income going to the bottom line principal.

Late Payments Fees

Over The Limit Fees,

Credit Insurance Fees

Processing Fees

Yearly Fees

Once you have deducted these from the MPA on your credit card statement then you are able to calculate exactly what portion goes to principal and to interest. There are several calculators, however without taking into to consideration the above listed fees these calculators do not give you an accurate figure. This is easy on a month over month basis to calculate and to pre calculate as well. We teach our readers to examine each statement on its own merit and micro manages their debts.
